Though it is possible to take this program without any equipment by booking into our lab room for assignments, it is highly recommended that you have either an Apple computer running macOS 15.6 (Sequoia) or a newer version to run the latest Logic Pro or later with Logic Pro installed or a compatible iPad.
Logic Pro for MacOS is a one time fee of $249.00 for a lifetime version. Apple offers a free 90 day trial.
It is also available as a subscription bundled into the Creator Studio for $17.99 / month
For iPad, Logic Pro can only be purchased via the Creator Studio subscription of $17.99 / month. The single subscription covers both Mac and iPad.
Key Requirements for Mac:
Processor:
An Apple silicon chip (M1, M2, or later) is required for full compatibility and access to all new features. Macbook Neo can work as well.
Operating System:
You need macOS 15.6 (Sequoia) or a newer version to run the latest Logic Pro.
RAM:
16GB of RAM is highly recommended for optimal performance, particularly when working with large sample libraries and complex projects.
Storage:
I’d recommend at least 512GB if possible
Key requirements for iPad:
You can install Logic Pro for iPad on any iPad with the A12 Bionic chip or later and iPadOS 26 or later.
- iPad Pro: 3rd generation (late 2018) and later, including all M-series models (M1, M2, M3, M4, M5).
- iPad Air: 3rd generation (2019) and later, including M2, M3, and M4 models.
- iPad (numbered): 8th generation and later, including the A16 model.
- iPad mini: 5th generation (2019) and later, including the A17 Pro model.
