Primalux Summer Surge Camp was so much fun we decided to keep it going throughout the year!

Have you ever wanted to see how a song is produced in the studio and released to the world?

Join music industry veteran Darryl Neudorf in the studio on Saturdays or Tuesdays for 2 hrs over 12 weeks. We’ll embark on a sonic journey where we create a song from scratch and record, mix, master and upload it to a streaming distributor!

We start with nothing and after 24 total hrs in the studio we will be uploading our creation to the world!

It will be intense and fun!

If you are someone with a song idea who wants to work privately with Darryl and after 24 hrs of studio time, walk away with a completed song finished and uploaded, then you can book in for a Private Song Surge.

Schedule

Composition Phase – Writing a song – Introductions and overview. We will then embark on the journey of writing a song together using the latest tools in Logic Pro.

Composition —> Production Phase – Shift from the composition phase to the production phase. Once the core song structure is more refined we can start to add the elements as the shift from song to recording takes place.

Production Phase – All the elements of the recording will be completed, whether it be virtual instruments and performances, and / or actual instruments and performances.

Mixing Phase – We bring all the elements together to complete a finished recorded work.

Mastering and Final Release – On the final day, we master the finished mix to prepare it for the various formats. Then we upload the finished work to the streaming services.

Summer Song Surge is taught by veteran music producer Darryl Neudorf in his new 7.1.4 Dolby ATMOS studio in Kelowna. Darryl has produced and engineered countless records over the last 30 years, some of which have achieved Gold and Platinum status. Darryl has received 2 Grammy nominations, a Juno Nomination for Engineer of the Year and was inducted into the Canadian Songwriter’s Hall of Fame. Click here to learn more.

We are offering song surge sessions on Saturdays and Tuesdays. Each day is 2 hrs.

Ages : 8 – 12 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Saturdays (Group of 4) -> sign up here

Ages 13 – 18 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM on Saturdays (Group of 4) -> sign up here

Ages 19 + 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Saturdays, 8:00 -10:00 PM on Tuesdays -> sign up here
